Dr. Victoria Marie: Director, Head Researcher
Dr. Victoria Marie is an sessional (adjunct) sociology instructor,
most recently at the University College of the Fraser Valley.  
Her doctoral dissertation,
Transformations: The Spiritual
Dimension of Learning Recovery from Addictions
, was a
detailed study on the journey into and out of addiction for
thirteen research participants.  Her previous research
experience includes archival, documentary and historical
research for Indian and Northern Affairs Canada. She has
conducted independent research in Canada, the United
States,  Mombassa and Nairobi (Kenya), Bogota and Cauca
(Colombia).
Patricia McSherry: Researcher (BEd, BA)
Patricia taught high school English and drama in Manitoba for
several years.  She then held the position of General Manager
for two Vancouver professional performing arts companies,
guiding the production of dozens of touring dance and theatre
arts shows for Vancouver and other BC community audiences.
Her training in motivational interviewing skills is a definite asset
in community development research. Her recent work on our
teams include: The Shadows Project Evaluation Team and
acting as Client Liaison for the Family Services of Greater
Vancouver Parenting Program Evaluation.
